Therapeutic endoscopic procedures are becoming more frequent, but they are not without complications. More than 40 million endoscopic procedures are performed worldwide, of which one third—14 million—are therapeutic colonoscopies.
Covergel
Why?
The objective of Covergel is to create a bioadhesive platform to ensure a mechanical protective barrier that reduces delayed bleeding issues after therapeutic endoscopic procedures.
Covergel is a termosensitive hydrogel (class III medical device) inspecifically designed to prevent adverse events such as delayed bleeding or perforations after colonoscopic resection.
Inmedical has developed its own distinctive technology through a licensed patent.
Biocompatible, biodegradable and biofunctional, Covergel covers, protects and favours the reparation of injured mucosa, providing an innovative solution for safer and more efficient clinical practice.
Covergel is currently under clinical investigation and is not yet available for commercial use.
